My Wedding Album is in town!

Believe it or not, we never print any wedding pictures yet, and I got my wedding album last Monday, after 2 years of marriage! Haha.

Actually it's kinda our fault. We never send our photos for printing, nor compiling into albums. We just hired official photographer on our wedding WITHOUT album thinking that we want to make the album ourselves! Yes, we are bunch of AMBITIOUS people, or NUT! Haha.

When Zahra Elena popped-out, we know that it will be dream-won't-come-true, so we decided to leave it to professionals. And still!! It took us almost a year to get it done. Asyik tangguh-tangguh haha.

Coincidentally, one of my colleague is doing photography as his part time job (whiteboxsyndicate) and I find his work is decent enough with my budget. And that's how I decided to hand over this tedious job to him ;)

I request for 2 albums. One for solemnization and one for reception. I use our wedding invitations as the front cover.

Bottom line is, if you THINK you can make your own album, forget it! (unless it is your forte hehe). You won't even have the time to think about it, and edit lah apa lah. So, hire photographer WITH album pleaseee! Or you'll end up like me, after 2 years! And still not making it ourselves in the end, hahaha.

Trust No One

Hi all,

After the short MPD session, I've decided to keep on writing. I'm sorry if I put u guys in worry. Anyway just to keep things clear, the reason why I wrote such thing yesterday is not because hurting comments, but it is because of unexpected reader. But after all, it is a blog and we are talking world wide web here. So everybody is free to browse and read this blog. Thanks for all the support though and me love ya!

Ok, lets move to another chapter. About the wedding.

Though everything went well, something bad happened at the end of the day. My make-up kit GONE. Gone as in missing in action.

Kalau yg pegi wedding mesti tanya, bila masa budak ni make-up hahaha. The make-up set is borrowed from my mother-in-law and can you imagine how I felt that time, menghilangkan barang mekap mak mertua dalam masa tak sampai sebulan menjadi menantu. Hah! Pitam noks.

I am very confident this incident happen at the end of the day as from the pictures (again pic become a good proof) showed that the case still 'there' during the wedding.

Most of the things are old stuff but they are also new stuff, new as in I just bought them 2 days before *nanges*. There are:

1) Estee Lauder eye shadow palette
2) Estee Lauder blusher in 3 shades
3) Laura Mercier liquid foundation
4) Laura Mercier secret finish
5) Fiberwig mascara
6) MAC two-way cake foundation
7) Bobbi Brown liquid foundation
8) Loreal blusher in Pink Marshmallow
9) Estee Lauder eyeliner
10) MAC lip tint in shocking pink
11) Brushes - about 10 sticks of them

And all gone *sob sob*

I just realised about it when we already arrived home

Me: Eh sayang tak amik ke make up case on the table tadi?
MrComot: Takde pun. You bring ke?
Me: Yup me bring. But me thot u tolong bawak balik tadi
MrComot: Me just bring back what me brought before

So we quickly call the manager of the place and later of the day he get back to us with unhappy answer ;(

Apparently, somebody *accidently* took it and keep all of the things happily *sigh*

Btw, thank God that I don't also keep jewelleries in the case. Kalau tak, mmg mak pitam betul2 lah..

So moral of the story here:

1) Remember everything you have/brought and make sure you bring back the same thing. Kalau pegi toilet pun, masuk toilet bawak hp, kuar toilet pun make sure hp ada lagi ok. Kut2 jatuh dlm toilet ke
2) Don't easily trust human being, no matter how decent they look as it can be deceiving sometimes. And no matter how well they present themselves. No matter whatever lah ok? Don't simply leave your stuff lying around. It's a big NO NO in this new world.


Keep that in mind will ya?

Wedding Gifts

Since the wedding fever is still in the season, I would like to write about what we received for the wedding.

I thank you all who gave pressies and angpow. On the material side, fortunately, we didn't get any duplicate things except for rice cooker. But it is in 2 different size, so it should be ok. In other word, we get to use all the things and worry not, there will be no recycle for another wedding hehehe.

To name a few, we got bedsheets, punch set, TUPPERWAREs, albums, mugs, luggage bag, mixer, CUTE towels, CUTE japanese teaset, CUTE key holder, etc etc.

Mind you, CUTE towels are not the same with normal towels ok =D

And so CUTE japanese teaset vs. normal teaset. Hahaha maybe I sound fussy but I feel lucky to have friends who knows me that well :D

I looveeee CUTE pressies. Who doesn't? Duh~~~

Btw, in many many things, we also received something funny, at least it is funny to me.

Of course it is funny! I mean, out of anything why it has to be guitar?! Hahaha to do the giver, no offense to you. I like it very much but I still think it is ... f-u-n-n-y. Again, why guitar? LOL.

By the way, thanks sooo sooo sooo much for this absolutely crazy gift. It reminds me the good old days, when we took the guitar class, 2003 eh? ;)

Singing the Wedding

I was contemplating with myself, what to write about the wedding as they are too many stories that I wish I could write in one go. About the place, the wedding itself, the stuffs, the gifts.

Ok, one by one.

The reception was held at Felda Villa, Jalan Semarak during lunchtime. It was firing hot that day (and I felt like a BBQ andes through half the day) and I thank God for no rain (even though deep inside my heart I wish it is a bit shady and windy :p). Thanks to all darlings who came and hope you guys had a good time.

I only have few photos, will upload later once I got it from our photographer.

Btw, we made CRAZY things again a day before the reception.

MrComot: Nak! Tapi sempat tak kita burn?
Me: Sempat ni *giler optimistic*
MrComot: Tak sempat.. (siap kuar kan calculator) satu cd let say worst case 8 mins times bla bla bla..

Me: Ok lah..we'll try our best, saper tak dpt nasib lah :(

Then terus zuppp we go to Cineleisure and bought cds and plastic cover. We managed to burn around 20 pieces on that very night (30 Nov) and another 5o pieces on the 31st. So in total we made 70 pieces. Burning process is not a problem as we just need to put the cd and leave it, what makes it harder is the ribbon part. Sakit bahu okk. And sbb kitaorg tak cuti before the wedding. So just imagine we had very limited time to accomplish this thing.

Burning em all! MrComot still in working attire lagi. I think around 1am that time.

Hi alllsss!!

First of all, I thank God very very very much as after soo many kelam kabut things, we finally settled and completed all the events.

And thank God that the final reception was a blast!

Btw, I am still on leave today as we need to clean up the house after a week of abandonement and updating stories with pictures is an impossible task as we are running via GPRS now. Kota Damansara sangat lah kuno, tak ada 3G ok. At least at our place lah. Maybe jiran sebelah dapat kut as it keeps on switching to GPRS and 3G. Celcom, please check on this! (wahh diva~)

So gotta update with steamy stories tomorrow.

Wedding in Terengganu

Hi babes!! How are you? Hope everybody is doing well.

So I guess it's the time for me to update about the wedding in Terengganu ;)

As I said before, I have ZERO idea on how it's going to be for the wedding. Anyhow, it turned out simple and nice and easy exactly like what I want (oh ya, minus the basuh pinggan of course).

They are soooo many interesting things I want to share with you all, but one by one ok. So this entry will be very general one.

On 24th. Preparing the seats, canopy etc.

All the food self-cooked. Haha not by me la..by all the relatives. They refused to take caterer, so suka hati la..janji sedap :P

Menu of the day was ayam masak merah, gulai daging, ikan percik, udang harimau goreng kunyit with tomato, sayur campur goreng, sambal belacan. Over okkk. Anyway later of the day I was informed that the food is not enough. They have to cook once again for the evening session. Gahhhhhh~~~

Overall, it was a satisfying event, thanks to my mom. Oh ya, lupa nak say thanks to her (baddd daughter). Anyway the reason why I didn't update with all the stories because we were sooo tired and sleep like a baby once we hit the bed.

The only thing that I don't like about masak-sendiri punya kenduri is, the dishes!! All left to me okkkk. Ok, not to me literally, but to my family lah. But of course la..in the end I'll do it because everybody has done lots and wayyy tired than me, so it's a bit unfair to leave everything to them.

Thanks to my younger sisters who helped me with the cleaning without any complaint, tak sangka you guys have grown up and be a gooooood girl. Haha if you know what I mean.

Na na na na Ganu Kite

I'm going off to Terengganu earliest of tomorrow. Another reception will be held at my mom's house. It is for relatives and you know lah orang kampung kan, everything in 10km radius is relatives hahahaha.

I leave everything in my mom's hand and it is up to her how she wants to live up the ceremony. But of course still under my ultimate rules, simple and no sanding. So it will be a big makan-makan I think.

When I say I put it in my mom's means, I don't think/prepare a single thing about it. I don't even know what is the menu! Haha whatever. Hopefully everything will go well.

So, tomorrow we'll be MrComot's first time be in Terengganu too! Can't wait to see a city boy having fun in my kampung. If fun is going to happen. I hope he can cope and will enjoy every bit of it :D

And we'll be driving!!! I ammm soooo exciteddddd! I don't know why but I really love love love having long journey with him. I like to see the road, trees, sky, etc etc. Maybe awal-awal je excited driving together, sooner or later naik flight or bus je la kut haha.

Btw, pray for our safety and will be updating (InsyAllah) as we already subscribed to 3G! Well, that's what happen when a nerd (read:MrComot :P) has to be out of civilization ;)

The Wedding Card ;)

Before the wedding preparation punya flame is about to go off, I decided to write about our wedding card.

Facts of the day, do you know that we made our own invitation cards? Eh..or should it be, we made the cards ourselves? Haa..the later la, ayat first tu mcm over kan? :P

And we made it from scratch okkkkk!!! Not as in designing only (BIG NAHHH hands to you haha).

It was a spontaneous idea came from both of us. We've surveyed some shops and couldn't find THE card so we said, 'Jom lah buat sendiri'.

Since we have no other critical preparation to bother with such as hantaran, bunga telur, pelamin, etc etc so we see it as a possible adventure ;)

We planned the design, bought papers, ribbons, envelope (at 1st I planned to do the envelope by myself, gila ok, mcm lah sempat kalau banyak2), map, etc etc all together. It was an interesting experience and tiresome! This is our very first cards project so we have no idea on how much we need the paper, the ribbon bla bla. And tiba2 the envelope tak cukup as only one place sells that kind of paper (that explain why some of you got baby blue, dark blue or pink envelope haha).

We use Canon Selphy to print all the pictures. I bought the printer about 3 years ago and once I had intention to sell it on ebay as I don't see the potential of continuing using this printer but hah, berguna jugak akhirnya :P

Then we have to do the template to print the wording at the back of the photo. The laser printer can't print postcard size as the paper wont go out after printing, so we have to paste it on an A4 paper, cheating the printer.

Done for the cover. Then we do the map. Ohhh kawan-kawan, cantik kan map tu? I use Microsoft Word only okkk (cepat tabik spring). But most of the friends said the map is useless hahaha. Sorryyyyyyy, I thot it is good enough. Takpe..janji dah jumpa the jalan kan :P

The map printed on A4 tracing paper, then I have to cut it into the card's size. Then paste it onto the card, then punch holes, then...

This is the final outcome. It is exactly with my last entry on 10/10.



We like the card very much but making about 300 of them is really a HUGE responsibility. I mean, masa buat 20 keping tu mmg la excited but half of the way, dah sakit pinggang and all, almost give-up ok.

And it is no fun anymore hehe.

So what do you think? Is it andes-being-rajin or andes-being-stupid? :P

Btw, we also do the reception card, exactly the same idea only with different picture for the front and different wording at the back.
